Photographic Manipulation
Manipulation of an image takes the restorer's work one stage further. Instead of re-creating exactly what was in the original photograph, the object is to create an image that is NOT like the original!
Some of the possibilities are:
- Removing a distracting element in the background
- Replacing the entire background with a new location or a studio backdrop
- Moving a figure to a different part of the photograph
- Removing one or more people, and filling in the background where they once were
- Adding one or more people (such as the aunt who could not make it to the wedding!) from a different photograph
- Creating a 'bride and groom' photo from a group shot
- Opening eyes that were closed because the subject blinked (using eyes from another photograph)
- Extracting just faces from a photograph, and creating a new composite
- Adding high quality captions, such as dates for special occasions, or names for members of a group pose for use with the family tree records
The list is endless! Please feel free to email or telephone, when we will be happy to discuss your requirements, and the possibilities for manipulation.
